Located in a wonderful location next to the River Foss, the Postern Gate is a JD Wetherspoon pub established in 2002 and built in a style designed to blend in with the ancient structures nearby - located as it is between York Castle and the City Walls.
Named after the nearby Fishergate postern, it continues the well established principles upon with all Wetherspoons pubs are based - great choice and value in a friendly, welcoming setting.
We are passionate about ethical sourcing of all our produce, and can trace all our key ingredients back to the original growers and farms. Furthermore we have guides available which list the specific nutritional information for each and every item on our menu
